Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder and a leading construction equipment manufacturer, dispatched 8 excavators, engineers for technical support, and expendables such oil and water filters to earthquake-hit Turkey on October 28.
Hyundai Heavy has been playing a crucial role in rescue efforts in the city of Van by also providing relief supplies worth USD25,000 including food, tents, and heaters.
An official from Hyundai Heavy said “We will do our best to help the victims of this earthquake rebuild their lives.”
As a responsible corporate citizen in countries HHI operates in, this aid effort is in line with the support rendered to flood-stricken Brazil, and earthquake-hit Qinghai, China and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
