Hyundai Heavy Industries, the world’s largest shipbuilder, dispatched ten excavators to Gangwon province to help clear the most snowfall in a century.
The 14 ton excavators and their engineers will help snow removal work in Gangneung, Donghae, and Samcheok, cities east of Seoul until February 17.
Mr. Lee Jai-seong, President and CEO of Hyundai Heavy said, “We will make our best effort to help snow-hit Gangwon residents return to their normal life”
As a responsible corporate citizen in countries Hyundai Heavy operates in, this aid effort is in line with the support rendered to earthquake-hit Qinghai, China, Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and flood-stricken Brazil.
