HHI Clinches $11 Million Moter Supply Deal

2010-11-18

HHI today clinched a deal worth USD 11 million to supply NEMA Premium Efficiency motors to WorldWide Electric, USA.

After making an Exclusive Distributorship Agreement with WorldWide Electric in early December, the Electro Electric Systems Division will also supply more than USD 50 million worth of low voltage induction motors for the next five years. The division also plans to extend supply range to Inverter Shield motors, IEEE841 motors, and Explosion Proof motors in the US market.

Due to new safety environment regulations, only NEMA Premium Efficiency motors can be sold in the US market after December 19, 2010. HHI's motors can meet this new requirement with higher efficiency, low vibration, and low noise.

HHI is an integrated heavy industries company with business divisions specializing in shipbuilding, marine engines and machinery, offshore and engineering, industrial plant and engineering, electro electric systems including renewable energy, and construction equipment.
