Ulsan, South Korea – December 22 – Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) donated five million Korean won (hereafter “won”) worth of Christmas gifts to underprivileged children in local children’s centers. The gifts included stationery items and snacks, as well as gloves and mufflers to keep out cold.

The alumni of Hyundai Heavy Industries Technical College, an in-house vocational education organization, also donated two million won to Ulsan Dong-gu Social Welfare Center on the same day and plans to visit Hyundai Educational Foundation to give two million won worth of scholarship to five students the next day.

Previously, HHI offered theater tickets for “Taxi Driver” to 100 volunteers and social workers on December 19 in recognition of their philanthropic service.
