Hyundai Heavy Industries Extends Helping Hand to Nepal
2015-05-04Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), the world’s biggest shipbuilder and a leading construction equipment manufacturer, today announced it will dispatch an 11 ton excavator and a 21 ton excavator to earthquake-hit Nepal.
The company also plans to extend relief supplies and donation to the earthquake-affected people in Nepal and in northern India via its Pune-based Hyundai Construction Equipment India.
An official from Hyundai Heavy Industries said, “We will do our best to help the victims of this earthquake rebuild their lives.”
As a responsible corporate citizen in countries where it operates, the company has a long track record of providing support to disaster-stricken places around the world: China in 2008; Haiti in 2010; Japan and Brazil in 2011; and the Philippines in 2013.
